My S/O works nightshift, we needed some blackout curtains so they could sleep during the day. The quality is OKAY, but for the price its definitely great! Replaced the old blinds that are hard to move around with these curtains, and its a drastic difference. Black matched our room pretty well, don't know how well white blackout curtains work or where to get some, but the black curtains weren't bad. Overall 9/10 for good blocking of light, ratio of quality to price is awesome. Buy them if you are on a budget or don't want to spend too much.I had thought about purchasing blackout curtains over the years & I finally did. Why I waited so long is beyond me. I was hoping for a solid blackout curtain that literally blocks out the sunlight & these do just that. I purchased the black color option & I think the darker color helps with the blocking as well. It's a pretty heavy-duty material that is not see throughQuite impressed. Material looks nice. Size appears as advertised. Appears reasonably well sewn. And hard to beat the price. But for one thing, I would have given them 5 stars. Rod pocket is just a bit small. We use these where we slide them open during the day and closed at night. But they won't slide on the rod because the pockets are just a bit small. Fit over the rod okay but tighten as we try to slide them aside. Still, all in all nice and blackout appears very effective.The curtains were practically wrinkle free out of the box, although I still got them wet with a spray bottle and tumble dried them for 20 minutes. Almost 100% blackout with some very faint indication of light showing through, but not enough to be impactful.I bought these for my bedroom, to keep light out as much as possible (so that the rising sun wouldn't wake me, so that I could nap in the afternoon, etc.).I never tried putting a spotlight up to them or anything, but they did a fine job of keeping out sunlight. Now I've moved into a new apartment with more bedroom windows, so I just ordered another pair.I'm not sure what else to say. I don't care about how the fabric feels, whether they're wrinkle-resistant, etc. And I suspect you don't either--you just want to know if they'll do their job (of keeping light out). And the answer to that is yes.I was surprised by how well these worked. I work overnights and sleep during the day, moved to a new apartment where the sun beats right into my window the first half of the day. These curtains made make my room almost completely dark. Highly recommend.These are beautiful curtain. I grabbed them when they had a little coupon discount. I’m so glad I did! Really pretty and blocks out light and any peeping eyes. The little Pom poms are such a night touch.We put these up in our twins room and it has helped them sleep so well! They block the light great and also prevent the room from getting as hot with the sun. They were wrinkled when they came but an iron did the trick. Nice and soft and great color.So I took my time to research blackout blinds. I am a night worker. So for me these are highly valuable for my lifestyle. If I don't get my proper sleep, I'm a mess.So after researching I came to find nicetown are a leading brand for blinds. So I measure up and make the orderI was expecting to get branded curtains. And I got ones sent from China that did not block the light. They were not branded. Came in plastic packaging and were of no use to anyone. Not even me.Be careful guys. I instead brought myself another pair from amazon that are not branded. Please see image of the new pairAs promised great black out curtains, for those of us, who has to sleep during the day. Same as for the black ones.Pic was taken at 1:05pm. South facing windows. Light comes in the two windows and makes the television hard to see. Now we haven't got that problem since putting them up. They are very basic curtains, nothing fancy at all, but if you're in need of light blocking curtains these are it.. I removed a star because I was sent one new pair and one used pair. They were packaged totally different and the one that was packed bunched up without cardboard insert has 2 runs in it. Thankfully these are just in the tv room. I didn't want the hassle of going to the post office and waiting for a new set.I really like these curtains. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice they were once I got them hung up. I had a set of chocolate brown curtains from Walmart and purchase these to match them as I couldn't find the same ones I already had. I ended up liking these ones so much more that I ordered another set and got rid of the Walmart ones. The texture is very sheer and smooth. The wrinkles came out overnight and they lay very nicely. They also are truly blackout curtains which is why I purchased them for a nursery.I picked up this curtain set on Prime Day, thinking it was a great deal. I'm very disappointed.I have purchased other brands, and the quality is significantly worse for this set. I noticed this just picking it up, that's it's a lot lighter than others. The material is very thin. While it's soft to the touch (the only reason it got 2 stars), but there's no way there's 3 layers of material in this. Light goes through without any problems. To say it has any thermal or light blocking is bending the truth significantly. I could hang a towel and it would have better blocking properties.The look of the drapes are cheap. The top is just folded over and sewed, leaving a rough way to put a rod through. Unlike others who at least use a metal ring/grommet which keeps a nice weave shape when opened or closed. I can already see opening and closing over time will wear out the top, and the drapes will need to be discarded.Package doesn't come with tie backs either, but to be fair it wasn't in the listing.For a few dollars more, go with a better brand that has better quality, looks, and tie backs.
